Chicago, IL – Korn returned to the Chicagoland area this past Saturday night with an electrifying performance as part of their 2024 North American Tour. Located about 30 miles from downtown Chicago, Credit 1 Amphitheater in Tinley Park, IL hosted over 25,000 eager fans ready for a night to remember. With lines of traffic to get into the parking lots and even longer lines to get into the venue and to purchase merchandise you could see the anticipation on the faces of fans for the night ahead.
With support from Spirit Box and Gojira getting the crowd energized. The energy in the air was palpable as the lights dimmed and Korn took the stage shortly after 9 pm, setting the tone opening with “Here to Stay” from 2002’s Untouchables album. Bringing their high energy with their down tuned guitars and heavy bass vibrating throughout the venue. The fans were ecstatic, and frontman Jonathan Davis was engaging fans, encouraging them to sing along by pointing the microphone to crowd. Halfway through the song Johnathan Davis was yelling “Korn’s here to stay” which rings true. Celebrating 30 years in the music industry the band still puts on an amazing performance. The setlist covered a range of their iconic tracks from their career, including “A.D.I.D.A.S”, “Blind”, “Shoots, and Ladders”, and “Make Me Bad.” The setlist had fans singing along, moshing in the lawn, and losing themselves in the moment. The band expressed their gratitude, Davis taking a moment to thank all those attendance before encouraging fans to stick their middle fingers in the air before performing “Y’all Want a Single.”
The night ended with them performing their hit song “Freak on a leash”. The connection Korn fostered with their audience was unmistakable, making this concert not just a celebration of their legacy, but a shared experience for fans across generations. Overall this night was a testament to their impact in the metal scene and a must see for any fan new or old. Full gallery of photos below.
